The best vacations inevitably lead to Arizona, with its amazing sights and attractions. The most popular places are actually famous the world over. Wide-open spaces are a treat to the eye as you drive through red rock vistas and pine-filled forests.
One of the most visited and breathtaking wonders to see when you are in Arizona is the Grand Canyon. Travel to the South Rim to see some incredible exhibits of the canyon's geology. But when in northern Arizona, don't limit your visit to the Grand Canyon. Drop south a bit and tour Flagstaff's surrounding forests. You'll enjoy Dead Horse Ranch State Park and the popular Kaibab National Forest. Stop off at the famed red rocks of Sedona as well.
Of course, each part of Arizona holds plenty of attractions for any taste and budget. The weather is wonderful for a sun-drenched vacation, filled with outdoor adventure or historic sites. Phoenix is a popular tourist destination, with the Desert Botanical Garden inviting you to stroll through many acres of cacti and other desert plants. You can also enjoy the desert preserve of Deer Valley Rock Art Center and the ancient petroglyphs found there. Further south and surrounded by five mountain ranges, Tucson is a fascinating place. The Kartchner Caverns State Park and Colossal Cave Mountain Park are a must-see when in the area.
When it is so easy to find lodging, you can relax and never have to worry about your accommodations. The roads are good, the people friendly. Arizona is the perfect place to visit no matter the season.
