Cross country and Nordic skiing is a real treat in Colorado. To ski in some of the state's most sought after areas is an adventure that most people would not pass on. In fact, there are tours and rentals for varied ski trips that allow skiers to enjoy all that Colorado skiing has to offer.
Colorado has eleven centers that are designed for Nordic, cross country and touring skiing. They provide groomed style trails, events, lessons, rentals and even guide skiing tours. In fact, the prime centers that come highly recommended include: the Breckenridge, the Crested Butte, the Devil's Thumb Ranch, the Frisco, the Gold Run, the Grand Lake Touring Center, the Keystone, the Tennessee Pass, the Snow Mountain Ranch, the Steamboat Ski Touring Center and the Beaver Creek. Prices tend to be cheaper at these centers than in major ski resorts and in many cases the facilities and amenities are better.
