Idaho
Idaho is a great destination for a fabulous vacation for the whole family. It's a land of many wonders, with fascinating places to visit the year round. History comes alive in Idaho with the sites that illustrate our American past. Outdoor recreation here couldn't be better, with mountain ranges inviting you to share in Mother Nature's joy.
You'll find comfortable lodging. There are plenty of friendly folk and you just have to ask when you need something. Start our in Boise, the capital, so you'll be central to most of the attractions. Skiing isn't far away and you can hop over to Bogus Basin to find great slopes.
Head north and you'll find McCall, Idaho – well known for its outdoor recreation. Whitewater rafting on the Snake River attracts many visitors who like the adventure of braving those white waters. Wilderness lands are all around, with the towering peaks bringing sighs of awe. Head east from Boise and you will find Craters of the Moon National Monument and Preserve, a place you can't miss on your tour of Idaho.
Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail is a wonderful place to hike. You'll find it ideal to hike from the North Fork Salmon to Lost Trail Pass. You should also make your way to a famous memorial to Ernest Hemingway outside of Ketchum near Sun Valley. If you like to relax, you can go to Lava Hot Springs for a warm soak in the refreshing baths. Lava Hot Springs, Idaho is south of Idaho Falls in the very southeastern tip of the state.
