The snow in Montana can't be beat, with the fine powder perfect for hitting the slopes with speed. Ski Resorts are abundant, and each area has its own personality and flare. The incredible runs through spectacular mountain scenery will thrill even the experts.
Near Havre, MT you'll find Bear Paw Ski Bowl and in Lakeside there's Blacktail Mountain. There are over 350 acres at Discovery Basin on the Pintlar Scenic Route in Anaconda and almost 2,000 feet of vertical at Maverick Mountain in southwest Montana.
You can also visit the Bitterroot Range to try the Lost Trail Powder Mountain or Montana Snowbowl near Missoula for incredible skiing. The top elevation at the Montana Snowbowl is three miles and the longest run is 2600 feet.
One very popular ski resort is the Teton Pass Ski Area in Choteau, Montana. They also offer snowboarding and cross country skiing. With 114 acres of powder, you'll find 26 runs here.
