Washington
From the excitement of a new city to tour, to the adventures you'll find in the forests and mountains, Washington State has the kind of vacation wonderland you're searching for. You can find ideal lodging in any part of the state, and you can start branching out to discover what this northwest territory is all about. And Washington has it all, with its beaches, panoramic views, glaciers and wild lakes and rivers.
Beginning in Seattle might be the right start of a Washington vacation. Ride the Seattle Monorail and view the Space Needle. Take a tour of Puget Sound and boat over to Tillicum Village to see a live Native American stage show. Seattle is also surrounded by four national parks, making nearby outdoor recreation easily accessible.
West of Seattle you'll discover Olympic National Park where you can stand in awe of some incredible views. Just north is the Straight of San Juan de Fuca. Follow the coast and reach Neah Bay. As you cross wooden bridges to reach Cape Flattery, you will end up standing on the most northwesterly point of the lower forty-eight states.
When you are in the eastern section of Washington, you must stop and discover the charming Spokane. The Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area is not far away where you can hike, bike, fish and camp to your heart's content.
