The capital of Wyoming is Cheyenne and a place of history and fascination. View the Cheyenne Frontier Days Old West Museum to see antiques like wagons, horse-drawn carriages and early cars. Experience a trolley tour around the city to see popular tourist spots. Medicine Bow National Forest is also not far away so you can get into the outdoors and enjoy the fresh air.
Heading west and then north will take you through some wonderful sights sure to please. When you get to Jackson Hole, you must explore the valley with all its canyons and forests. Grand Teton National Park is close and so is the Snake River Canyon. A day trip through these areas is something to put on your itinerary. Then there's Yellowstone National Park where you must spend a few days watching the geysers like Old Faithful and viewing the bubbling and colorful mud pots. Of course, you can't miss going north to Cody and seeing the Buffalo Bill Historic Museum with its old photos and collections of this famous cowboy.
